Shhhhh…Secrets from Hairstylists to the Stars for Fuller Hair

Of course Stars NEVER age! That’s the way it seemed until we got high definition TV and IMAX screens. I believe these inventions were funded by the folks who invented Botox and Chemical Peels! As time has gone on, we actually do see our favorite actors aging gracefully on screen and “old actors” are now Stars, not just walk-on bits playing grandpa or grandma. Faces are one part of our looks, but I think the first thing we notice is our hair. A full, shiny head of hair can make you look years younger just as whiter teeth and smoother skin do…on screen and off. So, what is the secret to making hair look so great? Here’s what some famous hairstylists and their Star clients say.

Most hairdressers have been recommending washing and conditioning your hair 2-3 times a week with a good product that doesn’t dry it out. Brittle hair allows breakage, thinning and dullness. Lately there has been a trend toward “mopping up” oil on the scalp and distributing it to the ends to fight the effects of blowouts. Dry shampoos (remember baby powder in the good old days?) and blowouts allow a patron to wash only once a week, and that is the new way to lessen damage. I just read not to towel dry your mane as that causes breakage…just to pat and rake with a wide tooth comb to detangle. Of course the new ionic dryers supposedly dry faster and damage less, but it all seems like we are talking about a difference only as wide as a hair!

Eating properly and living a good lifestyle are important to hair health, but the exercise we do to keep up our heart, lung and body health can disrupt a hairstyle faster than anything! From swimming to sweating on the elliptical, sweat mats our hair and distributes salts and oils from our scalps down the hair shaft. Chlorine dries out hair and changes its color and shoving hair into a cap or up in a ponytail is breakage-causing as well. Silk hair ties and sweatbands along with dry shampoos to the rescue. It seems like it’s a “catch 22”…we exercise to look beautiful and spend a ton of money and time “fixing” the damage after exercise!

All of this is a moot point however, if our hair is thinning or disappearing altogether! Naturally, there are a plethora of thinning hair treatments for men and women out there being sold. Everything from creams to surgeries are on the internet as the latest natural hair loss treatment or grandma’s old time remedy or state of the art laser hair restoration. Which one is the best? It depends on how much money and time you are willing to put out. To me, creams are messy and cumbersome and come with little proven results. Shampoos and conditioners that coat the hair shaft to make it thicker end up clogging the hair follicles we need to produce a healthy, thick hair. Medications taken are very costly and any extra pills or prescriptions I don’t have to take, the better. Surgery is costlier yet, and the major downside aside from expense and time is the fact that eventually we run out of places to take the hair from on our scalps and thinning hair shows telltale scars. We CAN just shave our heads and have hair tattooed on, (yes, there is a market for this) or we can use the latest technology available for almost every ailment out there, the laser.

Nutreve’s Personal Hair Therapy Laser is the most efficient laser hair brush as it is cost effective (a one time charge of around $600 with rechargeable batteries), portable (no cords), lightweight, discreet, shareable (friends and family have the same problem, face it!), ergonomic (comfort grip handle and curved surface), efficient (35 laser diodes that pulse), has a hands-free option (genius) and actually works! It has such a wonderful manufacturers and consumer satisfaction guarantee that purchasing one is a no-brainer.

This method of laser hair therapy is used only 15-20 minutes every other day and you start seeing results in 30 days.

This is ONE secret WORTH sharing!!!
