The latest girly movie to come out tells the age old tale of Cinderella going through a transformation just in time for the Ball…and then slipping back into incognito mode as her Fairy Godmother’s spell fades away. Eventually, she becomes a permanent beauty when she marries the Prince and lives happily ever after in the Castle. How many of us have primped for a night out on the town, to realize the next day that all we have is (hopefully) a phone number and hope that we will meet the right Prince and live in a nice Castle in Newport Beach? Ah…but the next time we meet our Prince (he DOES call!) will we look as good?

Have we tricked him with fake eyelashes, hair extensions, Botox and now the ultimate in “quick fixes” the 24-hour boob job? Back in the day I can remember that my mom (and all of her friends) would make weekly trips to the hair salon for a wash and style. Aside from the social event, it was the routine for most women in the 50s through the 70s and even continues for some “white-hairs” today.
